The main character, Barbara Reed, is a divorced substitute teacher who dreams of being a licensed teacher one day. Until then she is stuck subbing. She keeps stumbling over dead bodies which looks very suspicious to one determined detective. She has a kind elderly neighbor, an overbearing sister, and a lovable dog named Cheese Puff to round out the main characters.
The story was short and quick. The killer(s) were not hard to figure out. Read on a rainy day!
