My Review:
Cassidy Christensen had no idea what possessed her to enter a 5K run. She even wins an entry to run in a marathon as a prize. They think that is a prize? Finally thinking she can put her exercise science degree to good use, she starts her training. She is running for her parents who were murdered two years ago by mercenaries. She starts training with a gorgeous runner, who is being followed by a hot redhead who wants Cassidy out of the picture. She is being followed by the mysterious Dr. Tattoo. He always seems to show up when she needs him. Why is he following her around? Next we have the two threatening creeps who are also following her around attempting to scare her and telling her that her father is still alive. What in the world has she gotten herself into? Who can she trust to tell her the truth.
This is the first book I have read by Cami Checketts. It is wonderful. A true humorous mystery. The characters are written wonderfully. It has just the right amount of humor. I laughed out loud several times. With just enough secrets to keep you guessing until the end. Thank you to the author for gifting this book to me for a fair and honest review. Please read this book. It is that good!

My Review:
Two weeks after the arrest of Damon and the hit men, Cassidy is starting to settle back into her normal life. Unknown to her, Damon has been released from jail and will not be happy until Cassidy pays. Damon kidnaps Cassidy from her home and drives cross country, hoping to flush her father out of hiding. After finding out Dr. Tattoo's real identity , she is shocked to discover that he may be working for the other side. She doesn't know who she can trust.
This is a short sequel to Dead Running, letting us know what has happened to Cassidy. She does not lead a boring life. She is so in love with Dr. Tattoo but is love enough. She doesn't agree with some of his decisions but can she live with them? This was once again an amazing book and left plenty of room for possibly another series (hopefully).
